Dymond McCoy interned for Alabama Public Radio from August 2014 to May 2016. During her internship Dymond interviewed public officials such as Attorney General Luther Strange and former Fairfield Councilman Kenneth Coachman. She also wrote scripts for her stories and edited audio for on air purpose and apr.org. During her internship, Dymond had a opportunity to represent APR at The University of Alabama Student Showcase.
