MERCEDES LOGISTICS CENTER

Over the course of the semester Dymond and her team worked with the Mercedes Logistics Center. Each member had a different responsibility, her position was Videographer. The MLC has more than 400 forklift operators working at once and needed a better way to train new employees faster. In less than 10 weeks , her team created a website, Infographics, Thinglink, Google Map, three 1-3 minutes videos, and wrote a marketing analytics paper for the MLC.  Due to a non-disclosure agreement, Dymond is not allowed to display her videos or any links affiliated with Mercedes on this website.

When Dymond and her team completed the assigned tasks they presented the project to the Dean of Communication and Information Sciences, Dr. Mark Nelson and the Mercedes team members.

During the semester Dymond was assigned the Videographer position. Dymond was in charge of creating three videos explaining the safety rules and daily process of Forklift Operators. Two out of the three videos were made on a mobile app called Videolicious. Videolicious is a video production app that  allows you to create professional  videos in a short amount of time. Videolicious is great for marketing, sales, and training videos. Dymond's team chose to do visitor and forklift safety on Videolicious , because it allowed her to choose what picture or video she wanted to show the viewer at the moment of speaking on her mobile phone.

In addition to the two Videolicious videos, Dymond did a traditional two minute package on "The Day and Life of A MLC Forklift Operator." The video provides detailed information, that allows a new employee to understand the basic forklift operations along with the safety regulations.
